This photo and the one below it, have been taken for my double page spread; its a medium shot, I chose to do this as the top picture connotes happiness and general fun, which is challenging the stereotype of this genre. The second one can still connote this, but its shown to be slightly more angry which can be seen as typical of the genre. But it also shows him smoking, which is fairly common for teenagers; making it more realistic to them.
I used this photo in my contents page, I like this one as it connotes a rebellious feel, as its a graffiti styled piece. This is pretty stereotypical image, and I think it fits in well to the rock genre.
This image is also in my contents page and I think it shows slightly more diversity to the audience of the magazine. It shows a woman who is interested in the genre and wearing a band shirt; where it would typically be a male model. This could help attract a wider audience, and makes the magazine less typical of the genre, challenging the stereotype that these magazines have an all male audience/models.
